Dr. Tsedey Shume is a Medical Doctor with a passion for advocacy and development work focused on women, youth, and children. Before joining CAFOR she practiced medicine and contributed to collaborative research on early childhood physical activity with the University of Wollongong and Adama Hospital.
As Special Assistant to the Executive Director, she supports high-level engagements, briefing materials, and coordination across CAFOR's health-education crossover programmes.
Dr. Tsedey combines clinical insight with policy advocacy — strengthening CAFOR's work on gender, child protection, and community health linked to learning outcomes.
